Barceloneta

Barceloneta is where the fishermen lived in old Barcelona.  The narrow residential streets are still there, just adjacent to the beautiful man-made beach.  It looks sort of like this.

And here's a look around from the beach.

Like everywhere in the city, the beach has art.  Here's a sculpture dedicated to sports.

The kids were using it as a soccer goal.  Very practical.

Sunday was an absolutely gorgeous day, close to 70 and sunny, and Barceloneta was in a partying mood.  I'm not entirely sure why there was a parade, but everyone was enjoying.

Here's a young music lover, though it's pretty hard to keep his attention.

Families and kids were everywhere.
